"From the crest of the hill we could see them coming, dark outlines
in the hazy early morning light. In
the distance they looked like a thick, dark swarm moving steadily over the
terrain. We waited, each one
gripping tightly to sword and shield, feet planted firmly, faces set towards the
rising sun. Each minute seemed to
span an hour. I contemplated what
was about to occur and tried to discern their dark shapes approaching.
The steam from our breath rose silently in the chill dawn.
The rumble of thousands of marching feet, coming for the showdown, filled
the air. We waited, and observed -
soon we would be able to make out their individual forms.
Finally, they stopped at the foot of our hill - Thousands upon thousands
of them, spread out across the valley. We
could now, for the first time, clearly see our enemy.
Their hideous forms were arrayed row upon row.
Deformed homely faces peered up at us.
The stench of death and decay was repugnant to my nostrils, and I wished
to vomit, but I flinched not, for I had taken my stand.
We would fight to the end. Silently
I prayed, "Father, give us strength." No one moved.
Each second seemed like an eternity.
Thousands of eyes bore up at us. The
five of us glared back, waiting for the next move.
The ranks slowly parted and an incredible dark warrior strode out from
among them. He was arrayed as a prince, and the ground shook as he
approached us. "I have come to
claim what is mine", he thundered. "Who will prevail against me?
Who will dare test my steel?"
From behind the rock where he had been sleeping our captain arose and
dawned his cloak. Fire was in his eyes, and a sword was in his mouth.
His voice thundered out across the valley and all fell on their faces
save one. "I will prevail
against you, dark prince! You have no claim here.
I have paid the price! See
here!" The captain raised his
cloak to show his bloody side, and extended his hands so that the blood could be
seen running from his pierced hands. Like
lightning He grabbing the dark prince, threw him to the ground and placed his
sword upon his throat. "If
only this was the appointed time. But it is not. . . . We'll
continue this another day. Be gone
with you!" A puff of smoke was
all that remained where the dark prince had been.
Suddenly as if scales had fallen from my eyes I saw them, the great
beings of light descending to haul the enemy away.
Within minutes, the wails and screams of terror trailed off into the
distance. We surveyed the scene of desolation, and questions flooded my mind.
All this preparation, and was it already over? "Captain, where are you?
What has happened?" A
bright beam of light fell upon me and I looked up - And I beheld my Lord sitting
on a throne, high and lifted up. Tears
welled up in my eyes as I heard Him say, "The battle was really only mine!"
Michael
The time has now come to reclaim any ground that has personally been
given to the kingdom of darkness. As
you begin the active process of removing any areas of darkness from your life,
there are a number of things to carefully consider:
First, you must be perfectly clear on your own commitment to go ahead and
complete this process. Satan would
love, more than anything, for you to not follow through with your initial
commitment. To fail to show up for
the battle is to lose by default. There
is everything to gain, and nothing to lose.
Because the demonic kingdom will counterattack, you may find it helpful
to review the "Lies from the Kingdom of Darkness" on page 51.
Satan will definitely attempt to convince you that you should not
proceed.
Second, you must commit to keeping short accounts with God. Daily spend time talking to Him and praying through the
prayers and commands as outlined in "Concerning Prayer" - pages 46-53.
Third, if you feel so led by God, spend a small amount of time fasting
for the purpose of prayer (one meal, one day) before your time of confrontation
scheduled with your friend or pastor. (It
is not necessary that the fasting be done the same days as the confrontation.)
Fourth, you must be committed to walking in the light and avoiding all
darkness. Be willing to confess and
renounce all sin, and abide in the light.
THE
PRESESSION PROCEDURE
It would be appropriate to complete the "Presession Worksheets"
which is included in the back of this workbook.
The "Presession Worksheets" are designed to `clean up' all the
areas of your life that have been invaded by the kingdom of darkness through
personal sin, or activities which have occurred since your conception.
These worksheets may also prove helpful to the individuals assisting in
your deliverance - to focus their prayers or to organize follow-up help.
Read the "Confession of Faith", "Renunciation of the
World, the Flesh, and the Devil", and the "Prayers of Confession and
Renunciation" out loud after completing the worksheet.
THE
CONFRONTATION PROCEDURE
The following will be a brief outline of the process that will occur when
you again meet with those individuals who are assisting in your deliverance:
The first activity that will occur during the formal process of
confrontation, will be a time of prayer and commanding which will set the the
situation in spiritual reality so that nothing can occur outside of the will of
God. The prayers are designed so
that there will be adequate angelic protection, and the breaking of any demonic
powers and strategies that are set up. The
session will proceed in a calm and orderly fashion.
Second, you will need to make a "Confession of Faith" (out
loud) before the seen and unseen reality, so that there is absolutely no
confusion in spiritual reality as to where you stand.
Third, there will be a systematic process of reclaiming any ground which
has been given to the kingdom of darkness.
This will be done through a number of confessions, renunciation, and
prayers that are followed in a systematic and orderly process. These prayers and statements are strategically organized.
They have been carefully developed over numerous years, under the
guidance of the Lord, and must be followed precisely.
It will be important that you bring your copy of the "Presession
Worksheet" with you to refer to when you meet.
The process followed will be:
1. Reclaiming of ground
given through occult involvement.
2. Reclaiming of ground
given through personal sin.
3. Reclaiming of ground
given through sexual sin.
4. Reclaiming of ground
given through unforgiveness.
5. Statement of confession,
renunciation, and expulsion.
Fourth, there will a process of breaking any cursing (etc) which has
affected you since conception:
1. Personal bindings you
have put upon yourself.
2. Curses that have been put
upon you, or are being put on you.
Fifth, there will be time spent reclaiming any ground which has been
given by your ancestry. All these
demonic entities will be gathered together systematically; then dealt with so
that they will never be able to return. In
brief, the process will go as follows:
1. All ancestral demons
related to your life or your family's will be bound.
2. There will be a
confession of the sins of the ancestry.
3. All forms of ancestral
witchcraft will be broken.
4. All effects of witchcraft
and curses upon your ancestry (or your spouse's) will be broken.
5. All hidden demonic
structures will be broken open and bound.
6. There will be another
statement of your position in Christ and a renunciation of any part of the kingdom of darkness that has been related to you.
Sixth, there will a command of expulsion, and the demons will either have
to go to the pit (never to return), or they will have to go to wherever the Lord
Jesus Christ would send them (also never to return). During this process there will be provisions put
in place to take care of anything from the kingdom of darkness that relates to
anyone under your spiritual authority (wife, or children).
Seven, all ground that has been reclaimed will then be turned over to God
for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Specific
prayers will be prayed to block off any previous areas of access that the
kingdom of darkness has had in your life, or in your family's life.
There will prayers of healing prayed.
Expect great things from the Lord at this time, for He is gracious to
heal. Be prepared to experience a
new awareness of the Holy Spirit, and a changed life.
